It’s about the bigger Picture

Leadership is about believing in a bigger picture than self, it is about sacrifice and the will to match on even when fires of war are prohibiting. Ultimately it is about challenging oneself!

The sacrifice of CIC in aspiring and achieving his educational goals is inspiring to all herevand yonder, you dare not be intimidated by the rigours of times. The value is in the objective set.

To the extend of the gravity of pursuing a goal bigger than the times I will qoute another Cuban revolutionary of greater magnitude, Che Guevara, emulate this international revolutionary stalward:-

“In our country the individual knows that the glorious period in which it has befallen him to live is one of sacrifice, he has to learn its meaning.

The fighters in Cuba – and wherever else there was fighting – learned it first. Later all in Cuba came to know it.

The true revolutionary is moved by strong feeling of love. It is impossible to conceive of an authentic revolutionary who lacks this quality. Herein lays what are perhaps the great dramatic challenges to a leader: he must combine an impassioned spirit with coolness of mind; and he must make painful decisions unfalteringly.

The love our vanguard revolutionaries bear for the people and for the most hallowed causes must be the same indivisibly, spiritualized love. Not for them the routine expressions of finite love as expressed by ordinary men.

Revolutionary leaders are often not present to hear the children hesitant words; their wives must also share in their sacrifices if the revolution is to reach it goal; their friends are to be found only amongst their comrades in revolution. For them there is no life outside the revolution.

If they are to sidestep dogmatic extremes, sterile scholasticism and isolation from the people, they must possess a full measure of humanity and a sense of justice and truth. Theirs is a daily struggle to transform their love of living humanity into concrete deeds, into acts that will serve as a mobilizing force and example”. [Socialism and Man in Cuba]. By Che Guevara.

Meaning attachment theory

Meaning attachment theory

Suggests that communication(especially verbal communication) will never be transmitted/communicated 100% to the actual receiver.

I can say for instance ” a white dog ate my lunch box”. You as the receiver can only relate to what I am saying by attaching your meaning. The possibilities are that you might be thinking a white dog, but not the actual dog that I am talking about or the lunch box that you, as the receiver have in mind.

So communication, especially verbal communication can never be transmitted 100% one can never get the exact message that you as the communicator actually have in mind

Communication can never be thought of as a cut and paste process.

NB the word receiver and sender/communicator are only used to differentiate the two participants, taking into account that in a dialog communication, one can not be referred to as a receiver only..
